Bobbo Fest is a family-friendly music festival held each year on a family farm in Carthage, Illinois. The event brings together friends, family, and traveling musicians to raise money for local children and teens facing serious medical challenges. Each year, the festival relies on original artwork to promote the event and create merchandise that captures its unique personality and sense of community.

The Action

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to design several Bobbo Fest t-shirts, each with its own creative direction. This particular design became my favorite because it perfectly captured the festival's laid-back spirit while creating something people would want to wear long after the event had ended.

Working from concept through final artwork, I focused on creating a design that felt authentic to the festival rather than promotional. The goal was to produce merchandise that attendees would connect with and continue wearing beyond a single weekend.

Highlights

Seeing this design become part of the festival's identity has been the most rewarding part of the project. Years later, it's still common to see people wearing the shirts and sweatshirts around town and at the festival, a reminder that thoughtful design can create lasting connections within a community.

While much of my portfolio showcases work for global brands, Bobbo Fest remains one of my favorite projects because it demonstrates the impact design can have when it's created for people and a cause you genuinely care about.
